Youth

Completed and ongoing projects

Children education bags

Bags were successfully distributed by a committee of teachers together with members from Center for Freedom and Justice to students who are suffering the most from the political situation.

Beit Ummar Park

One of the most important needs in Beit Ummar was a public recreational park, so the Center for Freedom and Justice started Beit Ummar park project in 2016 which is built on a 7 acres wide land. In Beit Ummar park, There is an 800-year-old building called " Maqam Al Arba'een" and it's approximately 150 meters wide. Next to it is a Very -old olive tree that existed around 1000 years ago. The surrounding area of these ancient sites was reclaimed. First, it was planted with trees and grass. Secondly, educational and recreational facilities were developed.

Beit Ummar Park is meant to benefit youth and families in general who can come and have quality time.

The Football Stadium

The Football Stadium is part of Beit Ummar Park through cooperation between CFJ-Palestine and CFJ- Norway. This stadium allowed many young people to practice football and engage in sports training. Today there are many young people who go to this stadium to play football and prepare for important matches. CFJ wants to give children a break from their challenging reality and the chance to develop in a positive way.

The Theater project

last year we started with the theater project that is localted in Beit Ummar town. The investment in the theater can teach our youth about our culture and history, improve family and social connections, teach about life situations, create alternative ways for joy and motivation and ways to deal with stress and challenges. It can also open a new opportunity for new studies that are related to film production. The positive feelings children get through working with art, theatre, music and dance will result in positive bodily experience that can help them ease challenging situations in their everyday life in general.

There are more facilities in the park that are meant for the youth to enjoy and benefit from, including a swimming pool, changing rooms, a swinging ship, a café and other games that they can enjoy in the open air.

Summer camps

Summer camp is known for providing a safe environment where children gain self-confidence as they learn new skills. Camp is also a place where children develop a variety of social skills (e.g., communication, conflict resolution). CFJ has held summer camp for three years now.
